How can I make a donation?
Making a donation is quick and easy. Simply click the 'Donate' button on any campaign page, and you'll be taken to a secure payment page where you can contribute using your preferred payment method. Your donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
What types of causes can I raise funds for through your platform?
SooSeed supports a wide range of causes and projects. You can fund educational initiatives, healthcare projects, entrepreneurial endeavors, disaster relief efforts, and much more. You can check the campaign categories to see the category your project falls into.
Are there any fees for creating or donating to a campaign?
There are no fees for creating campaigns on our platform. However, donations carry a small 5% transaction fee. That is, #1,000 donation will carry just #50 transaction fee.
How and when will I receive updates on the campaigns I've donated to?
We believe in keeping our donors informed and engaged. We send updates to the email address you provided when you signed up on SooSeed. You can choose to receive updates on any campaign after making a donation. If you do, you’ll receive updates on the progress of the campaign, campaign updates by the fundraiser, and whether the campaign has been closed or the goal has been achieved.
Can I fundraise for personal expenses like medical bills or emergency?
Yes, our platform can be used to raise funds for personal needs and hardships. Whether it’s covering unexpected medical costs, purchasing an expensive item, or getting through a difficult life transition, we understand that sometimes people require support from others. You can craft a compelling fundraising campaign for your needs that resonates with potential donors.
How do I promote my fundraising campaign to reach more supporters?
Once your campaign is live, we provide a suite of tools to help you spread the word. This includes social media integrations, email templates, and shareable campaign links. Our team is also happy to offer guidance on effective marketing strategies to maximize the visibility and impact of your fundraiser.
What happens if a campaign doesn’t reach its funding goal?
Even if a campaign falls short of its target, all donations will still be transferred to the fundraiser to support the intended cause. We don’t have an 'all-or-nothing' policy, as we believe every contribution can make a difference. That said, we encourage campaign fundraiser to set realistic, achievable funding goals to increase the chances of success.
Can I donate anonymously?
Yes, you have the option to donate anonymously if you prefer not to have your name publicly associated with the campaign. When completing your donation, simply select the "Donate Anonymously" option, and your contribution will be counted without revealing your identity.
How do you protect donor information and ensure privacy?
Safeguarding your personal and financial information is a top priority for us. We use industry-standard encryption and secure payment processing to protect all transactions on our platform. We also have strict data privacy policies in place and will never share or sell your information to third parties without your consent.
Can I donate cryptocurrency or other digital assets?
We only accept donations through the bank payment method, which is by fiat currency. We don’t accept donation with cryptocurrency or other digital assets.
Can I fundraise for ongoing or long-term initiatives?
Raising funds for continuing projects and long-term initiatives are welcome on SooSeed. You do this by opening a SooPage to register as a fundraiser on SooSeed. Whether it’s an educational initiative, a community development effort, or the continual support of your career as a content creator, SooSeed can accommodate your fundraising needs.
Is it just for established creators or I can use it if I'm just starting out?
Fundraising for content creators on SooSeed accommodates established creators and newbies. If you’re a content creator just starting out with nothing but a vision and passion for your niche, SooSeed is the best platform to raise funds that will help you bring your vision to life, and fuel your rapid growth as a creator in your niche.
How do I receive donations as a content creator?
The donations you get will be paid to the beneficiary account details on your SooPage or the account you submitted during the page setup. We accept only account details of Nigerian commercial banks, and you will receive the money into your account within 24 hours of withdrawal from SooSeed.
