We believe in transparency. Here's everything you need to know about the fees associated with using SooSeed to create or support a campaign.

Service Charge

For every donation made through SooSeed, we charge a

5% service fee.

Example: If a donor gives ₦10,000, SooSeed will deduct 5% (₦500) as the service charge. The remaining ₦9,500 goes to the campaign organizer.

This fee helps us maintain the platform, improve features, and provide continous support for your fundraising efforts.

How Fees Are Billed

Deducted from Donations: The service fee is automatically deducted from the each donation received before funds are disbursed to the campaign organizer.
No Hidden Fees: Apart from the service charge, there are no additional platform fees.

Note: Transaction fees from payment processors (e.g., card payments, mobile money) may apply and are separate from SooSeed's charges.

Do I pay anything to set up a campaign on SooSeed?

No, setting up a campaign is completely free. Fees are only charged on the donations received.

Are there additional charges apart from the 5% service fee?

Payment processors (like card payment services or bank transfers) may apply their own transaction fees. These are separate and charged by the payment provider, not SooSeed.

How is the service fee used?

The fee helps us cover operational costs, maintain a secure platform, and introduce features that improve your fundraising experience.

If service fees are deducted from donations, will I still meet my campaign goal amount?

Yes! When you set your campaign goal, it accounts for the service fee. For example, if your goal is ₦100,000, donors' contributions will cover the total amount, ensuring you receive your intended goal after fees are applied.
